South Florida Living & Weekend in Naples

I have to say we are very lucky living in South Florida because in just a few short hours we can be at some of the best beaches in the US.
We are less than a hour from South Beach (but we don't go there, as we don't speak Spanish). We are only 2 hours from the Florida Keys, and about 4 hours from Key West!!! 3 hours South of Daytona, 3 hours south of DISNEY (I know it's not a beach but it's DISNEY..hello) and it has Awesome water parks and only 1.5 hours from Marco Island and Naples on the West Coast!!!
And growing up in South Florida (born & raised) I have the good fortunate of knowing lots of other awesome Floridians and the best part is my friends and family live in all the other great places in South Florida so when we need a cheap weekend away (the best kind) we go see our family & friends and enjoy a little slice of Florida Paradise. My Dad lives in the Keys, can't ask for much better than that!!!! A Sister in Daytona...hello, are you getting my drift. We are lucky Floridians because we can vacation for FREE in some really cool vacation destinations.
This weekend we are off to NAPLES. Naples is great, it's a quaint little beach town on the West Coast, we'll be staying at a Luxury Resort thanks to our good friends Kelly (we've know each other since the 5th grade) and her awesome husband Hans. Rob and Hans are great fishing buddies. They are both still waiting to land the big one, or maybe it's just Rob since Hans is from Holland and he has done some serious fishing over there. But just in case the boys don't catch any fish this weekend my Dad just came up and dropped us off some fresh Dolphin and Wahoo that he caught last weekend....fresh fish, another GREAT thing about South Florida living. Living here on the East Coast we get amazing sunrises, but lets face it people, who is up in time to see these amazing sunrises? Not us. But what we don't have over here, and what Naples does have is Amazing Sunsets. Checkout what we hope will be our view this weekend....

This tiny photo is a picture of the resort we're staying at but I couldn't get the picture to go any larger, as I had to pimp it off the Internet.
We are really excited to have a nice relaxing beach weekend before our wild & fun summer with the kids starts. Thank You Kelly & Hans for inviting us to share the weekend with you guys. We love you!!
I promise to take lots of pictures.
XOXO
